Palm Pre Video Tour

Submitted by Administrator on June 3, 2009 – 2:15 pm25 Comments

Here is a video tour of the Palm Pre with webOS. We’ve gotten Palm on the record saying that there’s a WCDMA (read: UMTS world 3G) version of the Pre in the works, though we don’t know when or where. That means that the AT&Ts, T-Mobiles, and Vodafones of the world will get a shot at this baby. Suggestion, Palm: “soon” and “everywhere.”

Update: We’ve just seen a copy of the Pre’s press release, and sadly, the 3G GSM version is listed as being intended for “other regions” — in other words, places not served by Sprint. The good news, we guess, is that we’ve also confirmed that it’s HSDPA, so at least it’ll be hauling ass.

Sprint has a special going on $200 instant rebate at the purchase of the phone and a $100 mail in rebate for the Palm Pre!

I just picked up one for my husband and it is touchy for the “touch” not unresponsive though. I am still trying playing around with it, so far I am tempted to purchase one for myself… I really like the mirror and slide keyboard features. The fact that it feels more “sturdy” than an iPhone really makes me comfortable carrying it around.

I have magicJack and only pay $20 a year.

Hey guys, just see de facts… iphone and Blackberry Storm are “touch” since just a few years ago. PALM WAS ALWAYS TOUCH, PALM INVENTED THE “TOUCH”!

  • Michaelafi42 says:

Hell no, the iphone is perfect. I’ll take mine over any phone.

  • GeoffCoope says:

seems a little unresponsive, several times the interviewer has trouble trying to get the touch response to work as expected.

Maybe the iPhone is the same?

  • schmoogleboi says:

Whenever I think of the word “pre” I think of precum =|

And oddly enough, iPhone V3 isn’t even out yet. We don’t even know what it looks like — and it’s already better?

Granted, I’m sure Apple has a couple amazing things to show in two days. Doesn’t make the Pre worthless. Wait to have something to compare before doing so.

PS: I’m a happy iPhone 3G user who still has his love for Palms.
